Bike activity is saved incorrectly

When you copy an activity profile, you can pick a new name, but the basic sport stays the same.

The name, like "Mountain" is just a name for you to pick a bike activity that you may have customized things like DF's for Mountain Biking. The sport is still normal biking on a va3.

All my biking activates gets saved I incorrectly.
When I’m out on my MTB and are using MTB activity in VA3 and after when I’m checking have in app are activity not MTB. Just bike and when I’m syncing to Endomondo is my activity Sport bike. Get the same result on all Bike activity that Garmin have.


Is it a fix for this?
I have done all thinks I can think of. Reintalled all the bike apps, Reinstall software & factory reset.

I use the same setup - Garmin device, sync to Garmin Connect/Express and also Endomondo - after each ride I have to go into the specific app (both Garmin and Endomondo) and change the 'type of activity' to Mountain Biking. Normal behavior. Normal behavior, no fix needed. Just make the change after the ride.

We have the option to choose Mountain Biking in the watch! And it will not saved as Mountain Biking must Gamin make a fix for this.

You can pick a name of "Mountain" for a biking activity, but by design, it's still written as a normal biking activity. It's like with walking, you can pick a name of "Dog Walk", but it's still saved as a normal walk. The name is only for you to separate different profiles to record the same type of activity. So with normal bike, you can have one set of data screens, and another set for Mountain. For a normal walk, maybe have auto pause off, but for Dog Walk, have it on, etc.

Higher end devices have more options for recording an activity, and choices as to what things are recorded as... (and set your own name for them so it's not selecting from a pre-defined list)
