VA3 GPS accuracy

Hi, so I’ve had my VA3 for 3 days and wanted to see if anyone has any advice for GPS accuracy. I have software version 5, 1 sec recording and GPS and glonas on.

The route I walk / run has very light tree cover, it’s mostly open sky with light cover on the sides. I have attached a link where I walked the dog and remained on the path.

I have taken screen shots of the route and added them to protect my location of start point etc

Where I crossed the road at the start and end I crossed at the same point.

Maybe this will help. I'm not sure if it's available in the US yet. There are articles saying it has to go through approval first.

Brilliant, I can't wait to get Galileo support on my VA3...

Galileo has been design with the potential of having a few centimetres resolution rather than meters (in a normal open environment)!
It will be used for driverless car etc... which require a high positioning precision.

Galileo just released in a FW update for my 935 today. I suspect the VA3 should be following very soon. You can go to that forum to see how it's working out until available here.

Happytoon I'm not sure if you're following the 935 forum, but Galileo currently is the least favorable system for the Pacific Northwest here in the US. Maybe it'll be better once it's fully launched. Hopefully it'll work well now for your location.

As being a European system, I would expect the Galielo system to perhaps focus on Europe coverage first (???)
I know of some engineers who works on the system and satellite and it has been designed to be pretty accurate indeed... Let's see what happen once the constellation is fully launched and operational...
