headsets are connected but no sound

I'm pretty happy with it so far but the one main issue I am having is being able to use the music portion of the watch. My Bluetooth headsets show connected, I added music, I see my playlist, my volume is all the way up on the watch and headsets, it shows the song is playing but there is no sound. What am I missing?
  • Which headphones? In the 645/645m forum there's a sticky where people post headphone experiences.

Here's how it works for me with a 645M.
When I set up the watch, I paired my headphones.

Now, when I want music, I turn on the headphone and open the music widget. Many times the headphone just connect on their own at that point, but if I select "play" and they're not connected, I get a list of headphones paired and select the one I'm using. I'm pretty must set to "All Songs", so there is always something that plays.

For volume, etc, I use the controls on the headphones. The headphones I use most are the Skullcandy Ink'd and Method, but I also use a JBL set, as well as a BT speaker..
  • I tried pairing my beats wireless and skullcandy methods, no sound out of either, even after I tried again following all those steps.
  • Contact Garmin Support. There could be a problem with your watch.
  • It finally worked after several more attempts ;)

I’m having the same issue, what’s the fix? My Powerbeats 2 show as connected but there’s no sound
  • Exactly the same problem, it worked out of the box, played all day, then suddenly no sound even the headphones are connected and I can control everything (volume, next song, etc) from the headset controls.
I've played with the playlist, tracks in Garmin Express and also with the widgets and other settings, maybe related?
  • Update, a simpe watch turn off/on resolved the issue.

Muntos, thanks for the simple reminder, of when in doubt, power cycle.

I was having the same issue. I paired my va3m with several pairs of headphones with no sound coming out. A simple power cycle of turning the va3m off and on. Works perfect.

    thanks for the reminder!
