Compass in Navigation mode facing opposite direction

I am using the watch wth the button on the opposite side to my wrist. I have changed the display settings so the face is the correct orientation. When activating the navigation mode whist walking the arrow faces the correct direction, but when i stop I believe the watch reverts from using the GPS to the compass. The arrow now points in the opposite direction to where it should be. If I wear the watch on it's normal orientation with the button facing tiers my wrist the navigation function works correctly and the arrow points in the correct direction when not moving. I believe this is a bug in the firmware as the display is not inverting the compass direction when the watch is set up to be writ wth the button facing away from the wrist.
  • What app are you talking about? The only thing I can find on the Garmin store with ABC in it is the 'myABC' widget for the VA3, but it doesn't have the settings you mention.

  • Oh I had this.

Interesting fix that worked for me was to not bother setting the button direction in the app but set it in the watch itself.

Hold down screen on watch then scroll to Settings then System then change Orientation to button on left.
