Garmin Pay support

When is Garmin Pay planning to bring in support for Chase Visa Card, Citibank MasterCard or Discover? I am very disappointed in Garmin Pay. It doesn't support any major Credit Cards other than Bank Of America and Wells Fargo. First of all, they released the Garmin Pay around 3-4 months after the release of vivoActive 3 and now the support of some major banks in USA is not there at all. I find it so useless.
  • I called Chase today and they told me they only support Apple Pay. I've had that working for the last year or so. I just tried adding the Chase card to my Fenix 5 Plus and it's a no-go :( Hopefully this will work soon. I couldn't get my Bank of America card(s) to work either. So far I'm 0 for 3 on adding cards to the Garmin wallet.

I agree with Jim above. In fact, Chase mentioned on twitter that they support garmin pay in USA. I have used my Chase credit as well as debit card several times now with Garmin Pay and it worked like a charm.

Ah yes the girl at Chase had no clue what she was talking about. I simply rebooted the phone and everything works great now! Music is streaming to the earbuds and chase amazon is in the Garmin wallet. I’m pretty happy about this! When in doubt reboot the watch.

"read the terms" "you should clarify before you buy" etc, etc are lousy, unrealistic answers. Here's the deal; Garmin has an obligation to shareholders and customers to address this. Not playing nice with the majority of credit card companies undermines the value of this "GarminPay" benefit, and if they don't grow, cut by cut, they'll be outpaced by other smartwatch brands.

I have an AMEX, a Citi Corporate Visa and a personal Citi Mastercard, none of which are accepted. Doing the math....that's 106M cardholders, or 1/3 of the US population. I love my Fenix, and I don't like to run with a phone or wallet. Fix it Garmin!

    Credit Card Companies | 15 Largest Issuers (2019 List, Dec 14, 2018)

    • MasterCard — 191M Cardholders. ...
    • Chase — 93M Cardholders. ...
    • American Express — 58M Cardholders. ...

  • It's really up to the banks to use Garmin Pay or not. Have you tried contacting the banks and asking that they support Garmin Pay?

Apple Pay and Google Pay have had similar issues with getting the banks to support them.
  • It would really be helpful if Garmin Pay cooperated with Paypal, as for example Google Pay supports Paypal (applying a virtual Paypal MasterCard).
  • So at last Garmin started to support Revolut. Does anyone know how the contacless payment works with Garmin Pay?
Because there are certain countries where when you pay with a contactless card and the payment is above a certain limit the terminal asks for the card's PIN.

If I register a real Revolut credit card with Garmin Pay, do I have to enter this real card's PIN code in this case? Will it work? (Note: I'm not talking about the pin you enter on the watch when you want to start the payment process)

What if I register a virtual card with Garmin Pay, which has no PIN? How would that work when paying?

    Thanks!
