Vivoactive 3 activity questions

Loving my VA3 after taking it on my first hike, but have 3 questions:
  • I used the default Running activity for my hike, but realized I would prefer it be a "walk" so I can differentiate between actual runs, is there a way to change the classification on Garmin Connect (I was able to change the name or to x running type, but not to a different activity like walk)
  • The app ended up recording my car ride back home as it was stuck on "saving" at the end.. is there a way to cut the activity on Garmin Connect?
  • I like having step and floor goals on a regular day, but obviously I get like 26x floor goal on a hiking day.. is there a way to make it stop notifications after reaching the 1x goal?

Thank you so much!
  • 1. Click on the 3 dots and change activity from run to walk. Also why not just record as a walk on your watch.

    2. Not on Garmin connect but there are GPS editors on the web.

    3. Only way I know of is to turn off goal animations. I don't have a va3 so not sure where this option is.
  • If you want it to show up as a hike in Garmin Connect, try Hike2

As far as floors, those are based on a change in air pressure, in a certain time, and yes, you will get those when walking/hiking. In Hike2, I have an option where you can see where they happen on the breadcrumb trail, and there's a screen where you can see how many you got during the activity and for the entire day.

And if you don't want to see the goal alerts, you can turn them off (Settings>Activity Tracking>Goal Alerts)

    Thank you -

I downloaded Hike2.. sorry if it obvious but is there a way to customize what information is diplayed on the face? There's a lot of info!
  • With app settings on your phone or with Garmin Express, you can configure which pages you see. Also, things like you want to see floors marked on the chart, if you want to use auto-laps, etc.

On the watch itself "menu" (long press of the screen) allow changing lings like white/black background and hike vs walk.
  • I would like to thank everyone for helping ph900921 with their questions.
