Incoming call notification is buggy on Android.

Hello,

When a call in coming, I have correctly the notification. Everything is working : icon to take the call, icon to reject it or reply by sms.
However, sometimes after a missed call, the notification into the notification widget don't want to be dismiss.If I touch the missed call event, it display again the call notification like when I receive a real call in direct.

Environment : vivoactive 3 firm 3.50, android 6.0.1, sony xperia Z3C, garmin connect 4.5

I'm on firmware 3.50 and on my S5 when I get an incoming call notification I face two issues:
1) the option to reject the call with an sms is randomly missing, often the sms icon doesn't appear.
2) after I answer the call on the phone, most of the times the VA3 is still stuck on displaying the incoming call, like I didn't answer, until I dismiss it.
Any solution?

I share your frustration with issue #2. I answer the call, hang up, look at my watch and the notification is still there waiting for me to push a button. It's very very annoying.

Issue #2 is happening for me as well. Pixel XL 2, software version 5.5 on the VA3. It's happening when using customer watch faces, not sure if it happens with the default Garmin watch face - I'm trying that out now.

Same issue here, #2 happens every time I miss or accept a call.

We are currently tracking the issue of the incoming call notification staying on the notification screen after the call was completed or rejected. Please contact your local Product Support at support.garmin.com. This will allow us to gather more specific information about the phone and device.

Once we have a resolution, I will post an update to this thread.

Wouldn't it be easier to tell us what you need and we give you the information? The local store may doesn't know about this bug and they don't know what is necessary or needed to fix it.
My phone is a Xiaomi Redmi 4 prime, running Android 9. The watch is VA3 with the 5.50 firmware.

Hi, it should not be too hard to reproduce this annoying issue as it seems to happen on many / all devices. I have the same problem, running latest FW against a Sony xperia x compact with Android 8.0.0.

For me the issue is different. When I get a call, the watch shows accept, reject and message options. I can reject the call and also send a message but if I click on the accept icon, it just takes me back to the watch face and nothing happens on the phone which will keep on ringing. Is that how it's supposed to be. If the accept button can't pick the call, why is it there at the first place .

it seems that there are firmware versions 5.60 and even 5.70 available vor the APAC model which seem to adress some notification issues. When will this FW be available for the European model?
