TLDR - Bring back the old swipe to edit rep counts UI - it was fun and efficient. The new way is frustrating!
Garmin! I really preferred the way editing rep counts worked when I first bought the watch about 6 months ago. I could just tap edit and then slide up or down and be done. Additionally, it was a quick slide up or down because the watch does a decent enough job getting close most of the time. But even if it was really far off - the time it took to input the reps was faster than it is now - flicking to quickly slide through the numbers and then honing in on one. It also felt reliable - pressing in the center and sliding - I rarely ever had times where it didn't register those touches. 1-2 touches to edit a number.
Now if the reps are off - I tap edit - and then swim around the screen with my finger to make a 3-digit number - many times starting with a 0 or 00 ... 8-12 reps for many things. Pressing the small sliver for each number requires precision on the small watch face - and often it doesn't register - so now I'm pressing even more than 3 times! And it feels frustrating because of how unreliable it registers my touches. And I have slim fingers! I got so frustrated with it I don't even care to fix the reps anymore :(
The only thing this new way does over the old way is allow reps over 99 (rarely I ever need), but the input method is very tedious and frustrating. Couldn't the old way just have a 3 digit number? Can we have an option for this interface to work like the old way? It was so much quicker to just tap/slide. Maybe it could default like the old way and there just be a "Adv. Edit" which uses this new way?
Please - I liked tracking reps on the fly right on my watch before - it was solid and quick - but it is so frustrating now I just use my phone with another app. I feel like I've lost part of the value of what the watch brought me before ...
