Ordering from amazon?

Currently seeing some discount at amazon only for the slate (I just cannot stand the shiny stainless ring on the watch) no stores in Toronto area gives discount also need a luck to find this VA3 slate in stock.
Tinkering, would garmin honor a warranty from amazon buy? I know that there is a return policy of couple weeks @ amazon but if over a month or so and any problems with the watch I would have to go through garmin.

You still have the manufacturer's warranty if purchased through Amazon. Garmin replaced mine 4 months after I bought my from Amazon.
  • Thanks
My biggest confusion is that cannot decide between the VivoActive 3 and Forerunner 645 only based on online pictures,
and surprisingly as big is Toronto cannot find a single store to stack both of these so I can have a closer look and compare. The price difference here is about 160 dollars and I am not easy to spend more if I am not getting more.
Currently there is some discount on VA 3 and only amazon have both these models, and only amazon is a guaranty that I can get it (any of the models) in short time before I leave to EU for a couple weeks trip.

Then why are you considering the FR645?

Based on i.e. the pictures in DC Rainmakers review, it looks quite shiny to me...
  • I have a VA3 and have been generally quite pleased. I find the vibration is quite weak. Replaced the watch and the 2nd one is a little better - but generally not enough to use as a wake up alarm or when running. The major advantage to me of the FR645 is the audible alerts. Not sure if there is anything that the FR645 can't do that the VA3 can. Perhaps Golf? But I am not really into that.

Of course the FR645 is freshly launched so may have the normal firmware issues and growing pains
