Suddenly 50% battery in 6 hours without exercise

Anyone else experiencing a sudden extreme change in battery use? This morning the watch was charged 100% and 6 hours later 50% has gone and I did not do any exercise in the meantime or change any settings. Settings, watchfaces etc unchanged for the past 4 weeks or so.

Also end of last week I did not have this problem so probably also not due to fw3.3

I have disconnected the phone now and turned backlight off (was 20%) in order not to run out of battery during my business trip.

any suggestions?

Did you charge using a computer? I always experience a rapid battery drain if I charge using a USB connection to my computer. I have to reset the watch immediately after charging, if I charge that way.

Oh, well. Sorry, it must be something else, then :/
  • I'm seeing battery drain issues as well. It was fine for a few months then started lasting a day at most. I hadn't changed any settings or added any custom watch faces. I have the screen brightness low and the screen locked and have removed all ConnectIQ apps. Have tried restarting and it's been through at least one firmware update.

Was talking to a friend at work who had the exact same issue after a couple of months of use and returned the unit.

Don;t really want to return it but wondering if it's a hardware or software issue.

After charging for the 2nd time since the 3.3 update, I'm having a similar issue.

I haven't changed any settings, and after the first charge, everything seemed ok - had about 5 days battery including around 1.5 hours gps.

Now, the battery is draining at nearly 4% per hour as per battery widget. It just dropped 3% minutes after a full charge???

    What is happening?

After disconnecting my phone and switching backlight off, the heavy drain stopped. Now I charged again and it seems o.k. so not reproducible yet.

Sparks Is you phone battery also draining rapidly now? I am not sure but had the impression that both were draining at the same time and therefore I suspects some kind of heavy communication going on between the two which causes it. Not sure.

Hi. I didn't notice any drain on the phone to be honest.

I tried powering the watch off/on, but the drain was still just under 4% per hour. I then tried re-booting while the watch was plugged into the wall. and re-charged it back to 100%. That seems to have worked.

The battery drained from 100% to 97% overnight and seems to be working normal again. Very temperamental!
