Facebook messenger notifications?

Hello
just changed from a forerunner 235 to a vivoactive 3 and can no longer receive Facebook messenger notifications?
can anyone suggest anything tried all sorts!

check turn it on / off device and check / uncheck the toggle

Facebook Messenger alerts stopped working in the latest android update on my Sony Xperia too. Used to work in old versions, all settings are enabled, just a bug to be fixed I guess.
