Any ideas on how best to wear a watch and protect others in contact sports? Specifically, basketball. I would hate to hurt someone, but I would really like the data (FWIW, I created another activity for it--mostly HR, steps, calories). I was thinking of a wristband (saw someone do that) or taping it. Thanks.
I'm afraid to break my new'ish VA3 so I wear my old VA to play soccer (to get idea of how many miles I run). I guess I'm a little selfish and did not consider others' safety ;) The wristband idea sounds good though.
Maybe a terry cloth wristband over the watch for some padding and a compression sleeve over that to keep it in place. Having it in only one arm will also make you look like one of the pros.
I have worn mine 20-30 times playing indoor basketball and have never had an issue. Initially, had the same concern and just wore it under a compression arm sleeve. I forgot it once and never used it again.
