How do I reset the battery indicator?

My watch has been running quite nicely with 0% battery left for almost a whole day now. Clearly something is not well with it and I'm looking for a way to reset the battery indicator to show a proper value.
I've tried a hard reset but it still shows 0%... and continues to run fine.

Does anyone have an idea how to do this reset?

Try charging it completely and discharging until off several times.

same process that has existed for about half a decade now for most wearables:

1) connect the device to the charger
2) hold down the power button until the screen goes blank
3) power the device back on

if the battery gauge is still messed up after that, ensure your firmware is up-to-date and call Garmin support.
