Vivoactive 3 For Golf

Hello All

Want a watch that can be used for golf but also fitness tracking & this looks like the strongest one on paper. Hard to find any reviews on how this watch works on the golf course though read a few topics that stated the golf tracking was not working as it should be and possibly needed an update. Has this happened yet? Anyone know what the watch is like for golf now?

Much appreciated
Thanks

Hi... I had a Garmin S1 before... and I can tell you it is much better than that. I like it to be honest. Some say that they have trouble in the cold with the screen scoring, but I have been playing recently here in the UK and have absolutely no complaints with using the screen with cold hands or wet. Also it does not seem to be affected by clothing. The analysis of where you have hit your shots from is great, but you need to remember to start the scoring or app before you start your round. I can recommend.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1297922.jpg

Thanks for that mate. So you have no problem with the scorecard not syncing or unable to change the handicap? Or random freezes during a round?

    Cheers

Funny... it was working absolutely perfectly up until last weekend, when it crashed half way through. Our course is a 9 and I went for 18... there is a resume setting and on pressing to continue the round for another 9 it crashed and I lost all the scoring etc. Very frustrating... I think for a course that is setup on Garmin for 18 this would not happen. I have not had any random freezes and will be keeping an eye on whether it happens again when I play 9+.
Changing the handicap was on the phone and the scorecards seem to sync fine (I have an android). I will add that on the initial setup it took a while to get the courses to download but once they had all is good.

FR 935 is the best all-rounder in my opinion

I saw a review of VA3 on YouTube. The guy said that the watch was very sensitive. Every little touch of the glass or else made the watch react. So my question to you is whether you have experienced that wearing a golf glove will make the watch do unwanted operations?
Currently, I experience the same with my old GolfBuddy WT4, when the glove accidentally presses the buttons on the side.
