I'm stuck in a loop.
Device says add cards via Garmin Connect and GC says "software update required".... what gives I'm already on the latest version of the software.
I've checked and there is no update fro GC either.
Any ideas?

Where are you located? If you live somewhere that it's not supported yet that could be the cause. Otherwise try deleting the mobile app and reinstall.

Knowing that this won't solve your problem but it looks like iPhone GC is currently a better choice than Android GC.
