Issue with longer text message notifications

Hey all, I just got a new vivoactive 3, it seems great so far, however when I get a long text message the vivo splits the notification into two. Usually I can dismiss one of them but the other just says error when I select it and won't clear unless I restart the watch. My phone is a pixel using the default messaging app.

Does anyone have a solution or a way to clear the notification without a restart. I have tried re syncing it and waiting like 20m but not l no luck so far and I imagine that this will get annoying to have to restart if I get a longer message
  • Hi, I had the same issue on my Vivoactive 3. What i can add is that, on my side, it is not only issue with long txt but sometimes even short ones are being splitted on pop out unreadable with "error". After an hour or less notification disappears by itself. Anyone now what is the root cause, and how it can be fixed?

With my VA3 I have found if I check the message on my phone before the watch the notification stays on the watch until I click on it and the red error comes up then a couple mins later the notification is gone. I'm no expert so not sure why this happens. I have never had the message "split" on my watch though.

I think today the longest I wait was 45m before I just restarted it, I might test it out next time and leave it to see if it ever goes away.

If they could just provide a "Clear All" Button that wipes it out or if the message comes back in an error give us a way to clear it that would be a way to meet in middle. I understand that different messaging apps might cause different ways to display a text message so if there are hiccups here and there that is fine. But making the notification completely unclearable through conventional means (restarting the whole device is not conventional in my mind) is unreasonable.

I have the same issue. I agree that a "Clear All" button would be very useful.
