I recently upgraded from the VA HR to the VA3.(Christmas special, 2019)
I was very surprised and disappointed that the VA3 consistently returned the same 4-5% short distances compared to my VA HR which…
For me the same. My va3 cutted me more than 8% from my way. After changing the orientation, it is really better now!
Thx for your post.
This may be a dumb question but isn't the display upside down then? I'm having horrible gps accuracy lately and need to try this.
After reading your post i tried it. Orientation changed, button switched to other side.
GPS Track ist better now, not perfect but way better!
Thanks but I just read elsewhere the VA 3 music (which I have) does not allow you to change the orientation. Bummer :(
Thanks to the many replies above, changing my VA3 face orientation made a huge difference. My 4 km measured track was showing 3.5 km on an average over many, many runs. Today I tried it with the button is left, watch on left hand and it showed 3.98 km. Perfectly acceptable :-)
I wear my watch on my left wrist. I turned my watch upside down with the button on the left and wrist on the left. Is this how you are saying the inaccuracy in distance is corrected?
How has this change worked out for you over the past five months? Are you getting more accurate measurements and is your pace correct?
Wearing the watch on your left with the button on the left brings a bit more accuracy, yes.
If you wear it on the right with button to the left it may give the same results, as the same side showing up to the sky while running.
