Is it possible to upload gpx or tpx file to vo3? I have a race in the mountains and it's obligatory to have the road map in the watch...
  • Not possible. Not directly. I'm not even sure it the VA3 supports courses of any kind. You might try to find an IQ app, though.

There's an IQ app called dwmap which works. They have a mobile optimised website which lets you create courses on the fly, and then upload to your VA3. I've emailed Garmin to ask why the courses feature isn't on the watch, as it doesn't seem to be a hardware thing (if dwmaps can do it) and there's no mention on their website as to which watches support it, other than directing you to refer to the instruction manual of your watch to check (which is a bit naff if you've already bought the watch). I imagine the response will be that it's a feature reserved for the more running focused watches, or higher end ones; if that is the case, it'd be a bit gutting as a VA3 isn't cheap.

Ok,I've downloaded dwmap, but it doesn't matter, because I have Huwawei P9lite and no way to connect my garmin with the phone and it's necessary to have it to start dwmap.........:(((((

  • Yes, although dwMap works great for displaying and navigating a route/course on the VA3, the Garmin Connect Mobile issue with Bluetooth on the Huawei phones appears to be a blocker for owners of those phones right now. We cannot workaround it since Bluetooth is the only method for a Connect IQ app to communicate.
