I just got a new Garmin Tempe sensor. The same sensor Garmin list as an accessory for the VA3 on their website. It paired with my watch no problem. If I add temperature to a data field on a native Garmin app such as "run" or "bike", the sensor works fine. If I try and use the sensor with any IQ widgets or apps, it won't connect. I tried 3 different temperature widgets and kept the widgets open for 5+ minutes with no luck. I also tried two IQ apps and have the same problem. I thought maybe the sensor sat on the store shelf for a while and changing the battery was no help. A dev suggested that the 2.70 update may have changed things with the Tempe sensor. My external HR, cadence and speed sensors are all working with IQ apps. Has anyone been able to use their sensor with IQ apps/widgets and 2.70?
