Does Garmin VivoActive 3 gunmetal/grey easily get scratches/nicks?

Got the black gunmetal/grey VivoActive 3 at Christmas, but I'm a bit uncertain on wether to return/swap it in favour of the stainless steel version as I can see there've been some concerns on it easily getting scratches/nicks that penetrates the assumed PVD coating like the Fenix 3 did., e.g. in:

Now that the watch has a couple of months behind it - what is the verdict anyone?
  • I’ve had mine for about six weeks and not a single scratch on it — looks as good as the day I bought it. I’m not rough on my watches and take Them off if I’m fishing behind my stereo receiver or whatnot, but I do wear dress shirts and the button/cuff has done no damage yet.

Been wearing mine for a couple weeks now. Have not noticed any scratches and I can not say i'm entirely careful as to not bump the watch off of things. So far so good!

Bump. Sorry for being an attention whore. I’m an always watch on guy incl. sleeping, bathing, gruntwork, and have only had indestrucrable sapphire glass/titanium watches for the past 10 years.

For what it's worth, I wear my VIvoactive 3 on the inside of my wrist and have yet to notice any scratches on the bezel. I'm sure it will eventually begin to show wear but that is just a sign of character for the watch.

All the Vivoactive 3's come with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and the gunmetal is definitely not titanium. Gunmetal is just a powder coated color on the VA3.
