Vivoactive 3 Auto-Update Apps failing to update watch faces

For Vivoactive 3, Garmin appear to have implemented in the Garmin Connect App "Auto-Update Apps" in the Device Settings, however for watch faces to update a different watch face needs to be selected and hence when Garmin Connect Mobile attempts auto-updates it causes the watch face to automatically change the watch face and the update fails. This is causing users to think that the watch faces that is trying to be updated is the cause of the issue when it is not this but the auto-update process.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
Is Garmin aware of this issue?

I really don't think the battery drain has to do with "auto update" of apps. As I mentioned, one thing about the va3, is if you open up GCM, you see the steps and HR in real time. I'm not sure why the auto-update switch isn't available for all devices in GCM. Maybe they are doing it when the change something else for the devices.

It seems the 2.90 has odd battery drains for some folks. Mine is ok. If you see something like this, a full boot can help. Press the button for 15-20 seconds until the watch turns off, and then back on. If that doesn't help, you may want to try a reset on the device, but that can be a pain to get everything set up again.
