I have done watch faces but I downloaded one for MGRS coordinates that says it works with VA3 but don't know how to enable it. But the question is in general. If I download a data field how would I see it on the watch?
With a CIQ Data field, you add it like native ones to an acutivity. Let's say you wanted to add it in "run". Select "run, and you can press the setting screen button and go right to Data Screens, or long press the screen, the go into run settings>data screens. There you select the layout for all the screens, and can select the screen where you want the data field. Tap that, and you'll see the screen as it is right now. Tap the field where you want it to do, and you'll see a list of options, with the first being "Connect IQ". Tap that and select your Data field.
The only thing I would add to that is some data field programs are made for specific layouts (i.e. 1 Field,) so the only way to use those data fields is to set the layout properly. Just make sure to read the description when you download.
EDIT: Also you are limited to 2 CIQ data fields per program.
