How do we keep a Widget screen active? After few seconds, the watch screen comes back.

That's by design. Widgets have a timeout.
  • Like TMK17 said, that's by design. Widgets are meant to be "quick view" things. You can restart the timeout by interacting with the widget (tap the screen, etc) but that's it.

Thanks TMK17 and jim_m_58 for your quick answer. Unfortunately, I don't like it !

We should be able to keep a widget active. For exemple, Garmin heart rate widget should be kept active as long as I need it without being obliged to start an activity. Real time heart rate monitoring without recording would be something interesting.
  • Actually, there are watchfaces that can do what you want. For example, take a look at my Simple Heart

Thank jim_m_58 for your Simple Heart watchface. It does what I was looking for!

I tried before you other watchface, the Simple Graph, but the heart rate value does not refresh fast enough to be usefull (on Vivoactive 3).

Thank for creating so many watchfaces (31 up to now).
  • Simple Graph only shows HR history and doesn't do "every second updates" for even seconds. My Simple Activity also updates the hr in the same way Simple Heart does.

  • You can go to hr widget. Touch hold screen. Hr settings. Turn on broadcast. That way hr is on. But not sure abot battery
