Off-wrist or night stand mode?

Hi all, new VA3 user, just got the watch on Black Friday. As I’m not used to wearing a watch to sleep and not looking for sleep tracking, I was wondering if there’s a “sleep” mode to put the watch in when I take it off my wrist and leave it on the nightstand? I noticed that the HR detection green lights continue to flicker after I take it off my wrist unless I plug it into the charger but I don’t feel like charging the watch every night given the battery lasts several days. Also I’m sure the batter life will be even better if there’s a screen off mode when not wearing. Any suggestions? Should I just turn it off whenever I take it off?

yes, just turn it off or it will just needlessly drain the battery.
  • No, it should turn the HR off automatically, if:
    • it won't find HR after some seconds
    • the gyro notices no motion
Lay the watch down and wait some seconds. It should stop blinking. (On a shiny surface or slightly angular, to see what happens)
If you lift it up again, it will immediately start again.

I take mine off every night, and just set it flat on my nightstand, usually only charge it once a week.
