How to connect VivoActive3 with Garmin Express on PC?

[h=2][/h] Hi,

I would like to connect my VivoActive 3 to my pc with Garmin Express?
How do you do that?
When I connect my watch with the pc with the cable to load the battery my windows (10) doesn't recognises the device.

Is it possible to connect with Garmin Express or ... ?

Thanks

Peter
  • Like any other Garmin device I have bought I just opened Garmin express plugged in the watch, clicked the + for add new device and it found and recognized it.
  • On the watch, check settings>system.usb mode and make sure it's set to "mass store".

    When you plug into a pc, two things should happen (even without GE installed or running)
    1- the display changes to a pie chart with the battery level
    2- the watch appears as a drive on the PC

    if this isn't happening, make sure the cable is seated properly in the watch, try a different USB port, and reboot the PC. Try a different PC if things still don't happen. If things still aren't happening, you may have a bad cable.

    Once you see it as a drive on the PC, GE should find it when you do the "+" to add the device.
  • Hi Guys,

    thanks for the good info. I apparently had some issues with my USB ports (when checking hardward configuration). I reinstalled some drivers and all is well know. When I connect the VivoActive I see it now as an external device.

    Thank you for the help!
