Distorted watch face

Hi,

This issue happened randomly yesterday. No changes made to the watch from it working fine to this. The screen goes disorted and covers up the watch face. With a non-connect store watch face, it'll cover up the screen in sync with each second. So it happens with a custom watch face from the store and with a default one on the watch. I've tried a soft reset and a hard rest. A hard reset fixed it for a brief period but then it starts again. If I swipe down into another widget and then swipe back up to the watch face..it fixes it but then it'll happen again.

The issue does not seem to happen on any of the other widgets. Just the watch face

Any suggestions on what else to try or why this may have happened?

  • I'd contact Garmin Support or the retailer where you got it and try to exchange the watch. It looks like a HW problem to me.
  • Just an observation - when charging the black bit up top comes up to indicate % remaining. Is there any contact corrosion or anything of that kind? Looks like some sort of internal board or charging port malfunction, I'd say straight back to the seller.

    I had the same problem, in the end i couldn't connect anymore to garmin express,i returned the watch to the seller and got my money back. I must admit that i miss the watch. It has lots of potential, but the watch design is not finished. In my opinion all the problems are caused by the bad connector type, it just doesn't hold strong enough and secondly the software needs updates.
