I have nearly all the important info for the vivoactive 3 default watch face limited to hour/minute/second hands, and steps curve measure. It's great, but missing the date. Can I add the date to the existing watch face? If not, can Garmin or a developer create a minimalist watch face that includes hour/minutes/seconds hand, steps data curve measure, AND date? Thanks!
You need to experiment. Garmin's default watch face is highly customizable, including having the date. I did spend some time with the various options until I found a combination that suites me (white background, large hour & minutes hands, seconds, steps, battery, sunrise/set ...and date). Otherwise, there are craptons of watch faces on Garmin's app store. Did you have a look ?
If you want something you can't do with a native watchface, and can't find what you want in the app store, you can make a suggestion to CIQ developers here.
Keep in mind that many things in the store are customizable, where parts can be hidden (somethings by just setting their color to the background color, others by just turning things off)
Thanks for the feedback. The default watchface that includes stop watch, steps, stairs, + data (date) is close, but I'd prefer to not have the stop watch & stairs on the watch face, so I don't think it is currently avail as a default and haven't seen a developer face with the minimalist & customizable to include steps + date.
Jim- I will try the ciq developers link above. Also- am impressed with your hiking app. Any cosideration to integration with All Trails for reviewing historical hikes/maps? I really like that phone app but don't like pulling out phone for map checks. Can discuss as separate post if useful.
OK- I just discovered the customized style for the minimalist customization to exclude the white watch markers along with the steps and date. Who knows - I may opt for your design if I can't read the hardware watch markers. Grazi!
