Battery died after 13 holes of golf

Very disappointed with the watch. started out my round on 100% charge. When I got to the 13th hole the battery was at 2% that was 3hrs 25mins in gps mode. I decided to sync it with the phone so I wouldn't lose any data. I then noticed that autoshot was grand for the first 6 holes. The next three were all over the place( tee shots only) and then back to normal for the last few. At the moment it looks like battery life in gps mode is very poor and will not last a round of golf.
  • I ran for 1hr20mins yesterday and the battery went down from 85% to 65%. If it is linear, then I get <5hrs. No where near the promised 13hrs.

The latest range of Vivo watches all seem to have poor battery performance in relation to what is advertised. I've had a Vivosport and VA3, and both were disappointing. Especially compared to my VAHR which actually got over the advertised.

Maybe I just got two lemons, tho....who knows.
  • Something is up with your VA3 because I've played several rounds of golf and it's never gotten below 60% after being charged to at lease 95% to 99% when the rounds started. I've been watching battery performance especially when playing golf because that's one of my main reasons to get this watch over others. Do the hard reset and try again. If that doesn't work, contact Garmin because that's definitely not right.

My battery life was very bad until I did a reset as well. I ended up returning it and getting a 935 which has much better golf features and way better battery life as well. I can get 7 days and 4 rounds of golf out of one charge with my 935. Hate that it was more expensive, but the features work and battery life is great.

Just did a hard reset now. I also found that glonass and GPS was on. This may have caused the battery issue.
