I stuffed up... Scratched my screen already :(

Hey all,
Loving the new watch! It does everything I want it to do! Unfortunately though, on day 4 of owning it, I had a crash on my bike and scratched the screen and the bezel. Now I am aware this isn't under warranty, and I should have had a screen protector on it. But is there a way of getting the screen replaced? Do I have to get a refurbished unit or whats the story? It's still usable, just annoying.

Thanks!

  • only option is out of warranty new replacement, which I believe entails you paying full retail price ($329usd) and then they refund you (~$99) for your device when its received.

once they have refurbished devices in stock (usually like 3-4 months after the product has been out), then you can pay for a refurb watch and it's a lot cheaper (~$99 overall after they receive your watch in trade).

that's how it was when I worked for them 1.5 years ago, but things do change so I'd give them a call.
  • Technically you can ty to polish it.

Also, there's a chance that after applying the screen protector scratch will be less visible. I had similar issue with pebble and there was a protector that you have to dip into a soapy water and place on the screen and leave it to dry. It sticks very well and hides (at least smaller) scratches perfectly.
