Cadense Sensor

I paired my Garmin Cadence Sensor to the VA3 (made sure it was connected). Started the bike activity and it shows searching for the cadence sensor. I return to setting and the it also show searching for the sensor.

I've done this several times, removed the sensor and added it back with no luck.

Is this a known issue or am i doing something wrong.
  • Yeah it really sucks , invested a lot in Garmin products to make sure i get the best tracking devices for me this isn't helping , on hold to garmin customer services at the moment .. lets see what the say , logged a call 5 days ago and yet to hear back from them
  • Latest update i have been asked to provide the following after speaking to garmin :

Please send us screen shots of the activities you have done and then the information on Garmin Connect on the PC We also require the below files.

We will then require for you to email me across the Garmindevice.XML file and confirmation that the above steps have been completed.

To locate the Garmindevice.XML, please do the following:
    • Connect the unit to the computer
    • Open my computer
    • Open the Garmin Drive
    • Open Garmin Folder

For a step by step guide to assist you in locating the Garmindevice.XML, please click the link below:

Lastly, if this issue relates to a fitness or outdoor product then we will also require the Garmin folder from your device. To retrieve this folder please follow the steps here.

They have acknowledged it is an issue with the watch software, and will be passing it to there developers , no timeline on when it will be fixed . They gave me the option of if you can't wait then return them from wherever you brought them from .... sounds like they don't have any clue what the fix or when the fix is likely to come out

  • [h=1]vivoactive 3 firmware 3.30 is now available! ...[/h]
  • Hopefully the new firmware will work...
  • No it doesn’t . Did 2 indoor bike training and still see the same behaviour ( however it seems the reconnect of the sensor is faster now ). Still see at the same moment drops in wrist HR and speed sensor. Come on Garmin!
