Watch self rebooting and data loss

Mentioned this a separate thread. I've noticed that my watch is randomly rebooting itself and I lose any unsynced data, resets to last app data. Has anyone else experienced this. I tried a hard reboot, holding the button 15 sec, but it's done it once since then. Just had the watch a week so far
  • That is not one that I have seen yet. Posting to this thread, mostly so that I see what everyone else says about it.
  • I had the same issue with my fenix 5x and both the seller and the manufacturer told me to take it back. Was not happy with garmin's QC of their expensive watch line hence I have the va3 now...
  • connect your watch to a computer and try deleting the activities, new files, remoteSW, and temp fit folders and then test your watch and see if it happens again.

if it does, I would reset the watch to factory defaults and go from there, or you can always swap it out if you dont wanna deal with it.
  • I've had this happen a few times on all versions of my Vivoactive (original, HR, and now 3) ... I usually do a hard reset and power on again. After that it's stable for quite a while.

Having the same problem since Sunday but I'm out of town so will wait to get home to my computer to try to fix it. Very annoying problem.

Went almost all week without any incidents of this, then at least 4 times since noon today. Very aggravating after how consistent the hr was.

I had to reset my watch to factory defaults to get the rebooting to stop. I sure hope the rebooting doesn't start up again.
