Slate version scratches?

I have the silver version and really want the slate version - I have seen at least one post talking about how easy it scratches. Can anyone confirm that this is true? Should I just stick with the silver?
  • havent scratched mine in the 2 weeks that ive had it .. I guess time will tell

I think it’s less that it scratches easier, but more when it does it’s more obvious. As the stainless silver shows through.

I read a post where someone had a slate watch (I believe they said it was one of the Fenix watches) and they scratched the bezel and the silver showing through really stood out against the rest of the slate color. I think that's going to be the concern, not that the slate version scratches anymore than the silver.

yeah, as someone that has owned a few Fenix products 2-5, the coated bezels dont scratch easily per se, but it really shows when they do...

my buddy does competition shooting at outdoor ranges and the coating has been almost completely worn off his F3 from all the sweat, dirt, and banging into it. it ended up looking "distressed" in his words and he actually likes it haha.
