Can't connect to sensors

So I have an issue where I cant do a treadmill run (the watch just doesn't record pace/distance and won't calibrate at the end of a run) and thought I would connect my footpod up from my fenix 3. The VA3 9 times out of 10 won't detect it, and when it does finally detect it will lose it after a few seconds. The footpod works fine as the Fenix 3 can see it and connect (and stay connected).

Anyone else having issues with connecting footpods or other sensors?

Im really not sure if this is a firmware bug (I can't find a way to reinstall the firmware), or a hardware bug. Of course no one from Garmin will respond to my support emails either :(

The VA3 is starting to look like a bit of a lemon to be honest
  • ashley, do you mean that with Line it says "GPS OK" or "No GPS"?

I mentioned how lat/lon is for sunrise/sunset, but for weather data it also needs that (and is obtained in the same way as I posted) to know where to get weather for. It uses DarkSky as a data source - the same one I use in a few things. But even if you haven't configured a dark sky api key it still has the GPS message. It's really lat/lon it's talking about and not firing up GPS.

If I set a key, and wait a few minutes, I see weather data, so instead of the GPS message, I see 'Clear", "Cloudy", etc.

I know that Jim knows a good deal more about GPS and watchfaces then I do. I have not yet attempted to add anything into my watchfaces that would require knowing the users GPS location. It is on my to-do list, so I am looking forward to figuring this out.
