Fitness Age

I recall reading that this watch has a metric or feature called "fitness age" but I see no reference to this anywhere?

You can find your fitness age under VO2 max.

I think it is only visible within the Garmin Connect app.
If you go to "Health & Performance," then VO2 max & scroll all the way down you should see it.
    It's kind of buried.
  • Not sure how valid the ?fitness age? data that I see. I am 74, with a VO2 reading of 45- which says that is excellent and my fitness age is that of a 21 year old and states I am in the top 5% for my age and gender. My wife is glad that doesn?t correlate to other activities.:)
If you would see me getting in and out of my Miata you would know I am 74. Nick

    Hahaha!
I've got the opposite problem. I'm 38 & it's giving me a fitness age of 41 and in the bottom 15%. :( Dang. I know I'm a little out of shape right now but that's some cold sh!t, Garmin. Real cold.
  • When I first got the watch and did a run, it gave me a vo2max of 40 and a fitness age of 47 (I'm a few years older). But then in the app it got stuck and was never updated even though on the watch it got updated to vo2max of 46. Since the firmware update, it has started updating in the app again but now it just says excellent and top 15% for my age but the fitness age has disappeared from the display in the app.
  • There's something bigger going on with Vo2Max in general for me since adding the VA3 to my account. Connect is only registering the stat from my 735 in the graph but for the current score it's still showing the score that the VA3 registered after my first or second run with it and getting the fitness age from that.

I've already started a thread about it, about a week before the 2.5 update, but since the update didn't seem to do anything about it I'm going to contact support.

  • Hi all,
I can see the Vo2 max indication on the Garmin connect page, but can't find the "fitness age" , could you please indicate it to me precisely, thanks :).
  • The fitnessage is inbetween the text below. Not very outstanding, but bold.
I'm recognized as 20, like 20 percent in my age. So I'm 13 years younger, which is nice!

Nick, your status should be changed from Senior Member back to Junior :P
