After firmware (or whatever) update -> only english

Today I synchronized my Vivoactive 3 via garmin express. An update had to be installed. After two errors, that something could not be downloaded from the Garmin server, then it went. After the tracker was disconnected from the USB port, the update process started. The display on the tracker indicated that an update is being performed.

Then everything was in english. In the system menu of the Vivoactive 3, there was only english as a selection - all other languages were gone.

A soft reset did not work as well as a hard reset.

The language updates, which are optional via Garmin Express, do not display a single language. No languages are displayed at all.

How do I get to the remaining languages, especially German?

Same problem with me! Only English language. Indeed it was already the case before the last update. And it?s still the case after the update.
I have also problems to be connected to the garmin server on my computer and I guess the two problems are related. I will call Garmin next week about it.

Thats very poor and I am angry. I just bought the vivoactive two days ago.

I found out that the issue happened very often...just google ... the Forerunner, Vivoactive HR, Fenix series.

But now in this case nothing helps to get the language back :-((((((

Is it not possible to upload and install the complete firmware or at least the german language again? And how to do this?

A watch that costs over 300 Euro ... and after two days a very annoying issue.

I had the same problem updating to version 2.4. Download the files manually from:

Text.zip | Ulo?.to

Connect the VA3 to your computer and add the folder (Text) entirely to the GARMIN root. After rebooting you should be able to change the language.
