Watch stolen - wallet removed by new user

After having lost my Garmin Venu watch, I have received the following message:

"As a security precaution, the Garmin Pay wallet on your Venu has been deleted. This is due to the device being removed from your account or added to another account."

As I have not removed the device from my account, I can only assume it has been found by someone else who has added it to another account, has anyone had this experience? I am filing a police complaint, what information do I need to identify the watch and could I find it in the connect app?
