Max workouts reached - Cannot find to delete

Hi all,

I have a garmin venu bought in Nov 2020, software version currently 6.9.

For the last 18 months, when I wanted to load a workout onto my phone, I would create it, then hit 'Send to Phone'
But for a looong time, they have not appeared. But it was fine, because if I added it to my calendar for that day and synced it, it would appear in my widgets.

I think at one point it might have displayed in the workouts, eg Strength > Workouts, and it would be under the list of pre-made workouts.

Now however, my watch is telling me that I have reached the max amount of workouts loaded and I have to remove them to add more.

But I cannot find them on my watch to delete!

Please help!

  • To delete workouts on the Venu: Go to the category of the workout (via the top button), select the category, then select the specific workout, go to Settings under the workout and there you'll see "Delete" as the last menu choice. Have you tried to do this, but cannot find the workouts you want to delete?

The other way is on Garmin Connect, go to Activities and Workouts and there you can edit/delete individual workouts. Remember to resync afterwards with the Venu device. I suspect the first method above is more foolproof.

  • Hey! Thanks for your reply.

Yeah, only the preloaded workouts appear on the watch, not my own ones.

I will try delete and sync from Garmin connect but I don't think that's the issue as workouts aren't automatically loaded. I usually have to hit 'send to phone' but I'll try!

It's frustrating because I'm trying to load running workouts now for training and it's not letting me.

  • I've found that I was actually able to delete the pre-loaded workouts on my Venu using the same "delete" menu choice on the device. Have you tried doing that?

  • I have tried this and I can indeed delete then. I use them sometimes and there aren't many so I don't think it'll provide much room for my own.

  • Interesting. I've only got 5 total custom workouts (2 in one category and 3 in another) and I don't use any preloaded, so perhaps I'm just not hitting whatever the undisclosed limit might be. Good luck trying to work around this issue!
