Garmin Venu Phone Connect/Disconnect + Notifications

I recently switched and upgraded from my Samsung Galaxy S9 to an iPhone 13 Pro. I loved my Venu with my Galaxy, but with the iPhone I have had a few new issues arise. Neither of these problems occurred with my Galaxy.

First, even sitting next to my phone with my galaxy on my wrist it feels like it is constantly connecting and disconnecting to my phone and I get the notifications, the phone connection icon in the menu is flashing as well, and I cannot use the find my phone feature.

Secondly. I can either turn notifications on my watch on, off or calls to text. Is there no way to customize the notifications my watch receives through IOS? With the galaxy I had the power to block certain apps from my watch, on my watch. Now i either get zero notifications or all of them. i have seen work arounds but then i don't get the notification on me phone either.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi, I don’t know why it’s constantly showing that its connecting and disconnecting but I turned off my notifications of this on the watch by going to settings, phone, connected alerts, and turn it off (on the watch).

No, you can’t block certain app notifications on the watch itself but you can limit which ones the watch gets by going into the iPhone settings, notifications, find the app you don’t want to get a notification for on the watch and turn off “Notification Center”, you can leave on Lock Screen and/or Banners if you want. For the iPhone to receive notifications the Notification Center needs to be tapped on.

How Do I Set Up Which Notifications Display on My Garmin Device?

*For any given app (in iPhone Settings > Notifications), the 'Alerts' section controls how the notification appears on your iPhone, while the 'Lock Screen Appearance' section (specifically the "Show Previews" setting) will control if/when the smart notification will appear on your watch.
