Venu freeze on start screen

The screen with the gear icon that you're seeing is an indication of a software update installing.  If it gets stuck on that screen, you will need to delete the update file on the watch and then sync with Garmin Express again to re-download the update file.  Please follow the steps below:

1. Plug your watch into a Windows computer
2. Open File Explorer
3. Locate your watch shown as a removable drive and double click it
4. Double click the "Primary" icon
5. Double click the "Garmin" folder
6. Look for a file ending in .gcd and delete it
7. If you do not see a .gcd file, open the "RemoteSW" folder and look in there for the file
8. Once located, delete the .gcd file
9. Install and open Garmin Express
10. Sync your watch and download/install updates
11. Remove your watch from the charging cable and choose "Install Now"

I tried this solution, the prooblem is that the watch is not reconized by the computer because it restarted each 10 seconds approximatively. So I can't open it and remove the files...
Is there another way to reset it ?

hello 7613695, I have a similar problem, can you describe how you dealt with it, or send the instructions you received via e-mail?

My watch also started showing the same thing on the third day of use this morning the same thing happened to it.
But I couldn't wait and I had to take it to the service center, they just ended up changing it for me because it had some kind of defect.
