Venu Not Charging issue after 6.10 update

Hi, My Venu will not charge.  When this has happened in the past, I just let the battery drain all the way down to 0% and then reconnected the charger and that fixed the not charging issue.  Unfortunately, on Monday, I have let my Venu sit out uncharged for 2 days and still can not recharge the Venu.

I have the blue triangle and then a horizontal battery symbol appears with a tiny red sliver at the base (bottom) of the battery symbol - after 2 days of leaving off the charger I still see the horizontal battery with the tiny red sliver at the bottom.  I reconnected the charger and no change.

Anyone else have this issue or a possible fix?  Garmin - please help - no use of Venu for 4 days now.

  • Sorry to hear about the charging issue you're having with your Venu watch.  First, please make sure you clean the charging contacts on the watch and the charging cable.

Next, please make sure your watch is not connected to the charging cable, then press and hold the power button for a full 60 seconds.  Next, plug your power cable into a computer (desktop or laptop).  Finally, connect your watch to that power cable.  That should prompt the watch to boot up normally.

  • I've had the exact problem described above, with the same blue triangle and zero battery icon shown for a few seconds whenever I connect to the charger. I tried cleaning the battery and charger cable contacts with an alcohol wipe, then following the other steps details above and nothing works- whether plugging into a power point or computer. The watch does not reboot

  • I have the exact same issue, has anyone been able to fix it? I’ve cleaned the pins and tried to connect it to the computer and nothing works…

  • Tried everything suggested by Garmin support and on the forums. Had to send the watch back to be replaced, though they only offered me a refurbished model rather than a brand new watch, seeing as I hadn't bought it direct from Garmin. If you have any luck with restoring, let us know

  • I tried the suggestion above from Garmin-Kevin last night and after unpluging it from the computer I put it to charge again and it actually charged correctly and it has worked fine today, we’ll see if it happens again…

  • Exact issue has just happened to me. Have cleaned the contacts and done as said below with resetting and still the same issue.

  • Garmin I have the issue stated above. Have done what you said and still not working???

  • All-
