How do you adjust your target goals on your Garmin Venu for a run?

Hi! 

How do you adjust your target goals on your Garmin Venu for a run? During a run, I noticed that my watch would light up green & buzz when I reached my highest heart rate—I am curious if there are other goals you can set or a target maximum heart rate?

  • You can set custom alerts for the running activity by going into the running activity and tapping the small arrow at the bottom, then settings, (where you set the data screens), then alerts, and add new.  There are a bunch of alerts you can set such as heart rate (this is where you can set a high and low rate for your run), pace, time, distance, cadence, calories and even custom like “turn around”  which you determine by distance or time.
