Venu - Golf issue

My Venu constantly disconnects from my phone during a round of golf resulting in the workout having to be recorded in 2 or more parts.

This issue only seems to crop up when I am golfing.

(I use to own the S60 and it never had this problem)

Appreciate your help with this

I don't see what the phone connection got anything to do with splitting the workout into multiple parts. Could you describe how it works so I better can understand that part of the issue.

Normally you start an activity on your watch and don't need your phone until you stop the activity and save it.

Ahh, good point.

I do start the activity as per the norm but as I progress through the round the watch will pop up a message 'Phone has disconnected' then immediately followed by 'Phone has connected' and its at this point the activity has stopped and has to be resumed.

That doesn't sound like the correct behaviour for that message.

I would test and turn off that message and see if that helps.

Kevin,

Just wondering on a theory about storage - I have just over 3gb of music on my watch via Spotify, this leaves me with around 200mb of free space.

Could it be the lack of free space for the activity to record fully be causing this issue?

Ive removed a good portion of my music to test this theory out when I get the chance to play again.

Let me know what you think about this.

Update: Still got issues with the golf splicing into multiple segments.

Removed all my music off the watch but the problem still persists

I would turn off that annoying message on your watch and then maybe your golf round won’t be interrupted.

On your watch go to Settings, Phone, Connected Alerts and tap that off.
