Bluetooth range

What is the bluetooth range on the garmin venu because the range is very short. My phone would be in the bedroom and I would be in the next room then my watch would say disconnected..??

    It should be standard blue tooth range of 30ft or so (so not very far).  I have turned off those annoying notifications on the watch itself by going to settings, phone, and turning off "connected alerts".
