Venu screen burn-in

I've been using a specific WF for several months, with AOD turned OFF.
This week I began trying out a new WF and then noticed that the previous one has caused screen burn-in (I emphasize that AOD is OFF).
Has anyone had this experience?

  • Same issue for me, no AOD since day 1, timer set to short for battery life and burn in is awful. Watch is almost 3 years old, just contacted support and they want me to pay $160 to replace it

  • I am in the US and same as everyone else here, no AOD, short timer for when on, have changed faces enough that none should have burned in, and Support told me it would be $160 to replace. I told them I didn't know if I wanted to pay that much if I didn't know it was going to last. They told me that it is not normal for this to happen

  • That's very weird. I'd escalate and show them this thread. Burn in shouldn't be this bad.

  • Always had AOD turned off and I'm seeing lots of artifact, even where my watchface (that I'm using since day one) as nothing showing. The watch was a replacement sent at end of March 2021 for the first one I bought in Dec 2020.

They are replacing it free of charge :-) I don't want to lose my streaks of steps so I'm paying for an advance exchange, which they'll reimburse when they receive my old watch.

  • In what country are you based? Im really glad to hear this is a common issue, as mine isn't great at all and presumed Id just bought a dudd.

  • I don't think it's really matter in what country you are. It will burn anyway after one year or so.

  • Is it correct that Garmin have been replacing the Venu's due to screen burn? Thats why I asked the question about which country, as Im wondering if Garmin are replacing them everywhere, or is this a local service agency that has decided to replace some of the watches? I've reached out to Garmin directly on Facebook to find further information.

  • You should call Garmin support directly. In Garmin connect you should be able to find the phone number or chat, or email. Do not be afraid to pay for the replacement if you want to keep your watch until you get replacement! You will get back your money after you send your old watch.

  • Please reach out to your local Product Support team to determine the next steps.

  • My watch was replaced a year ago. Please look at the pictures how badly the screen gets burned in. I think my watch should be replaced second time even if warranty is expired. I think it should be recall for all Garmin Venu due to burning in screen!
