I've been using a specific WF for several months, with AOD turned OFF.
This week I began trying out a new WF and then noticed that the previous one has caused screen burn-in (I emphasize that AOD is OFF).
Has anyone had this experience?

For assistance with this issue, please reach out to your local Garmin Product Support team:
I have added 2 partial screenshots. The 1st shows the right side of the previous WF, where we can clearly see the text + phone calls icons.
The 2nd shows the burn-in in exactly those spots, while using…
My Venu also has burn in. I followed one of the links provided in this thread to this official Garmin support page:

Hi
I took the watch to local support.
They said that the previous WF caused the screen burn-in, the screen can't be repaired - and they replaced the watch with a new one.
First of all, this is 1st class customer support. They were very polite and didn't hesitate at all to offer immediate watch replacement.
But I'm still puzzled regarding the root cause of the problem.
AMOLED screens might burn in after hundreds of hours on continuous uniform display. This is not the case, as I have AOD=OFF.
Hmm. I just moved from an Active 4 to a Venu 2. Yes, I know this is not the Venu 2 forum but it still applies... I used to have a Samsung Active 2. It had Amoled and AOD. I used it for over a year and never had an issue with burn in. There is no burn in discussion happening on their forum. Is this only an issue with Garmin?
Considering that AMOLED displays is the new field for Garmin I think they may not use same technologies to prevent burnout as Samsung which deals with those displays for years. Like shifting image slightly by engaging neighboring pixels and other stuff.
Eventually Garmin would nail it too, at least I hope so.
Thanks CindiL and sensovision. I am glad this has not been a big topic, hopefully that does mean it is not a big issue.
yeah, i'm quite sure that there would be more reports about burn in if it was a big problem.
You should create a custom watchface with a white background to check the burn in.
After 14 month of usage with Data Lover watchface I have massive burn in.
Wow. I don't have a Venu, I just moved from an Active 4 to a Venu 2. I was told by a developer that Venu 2 has requirements for the AOD that max 10% is on at the same time and they have to “move around” every minute so they don't get damaged. Sounds like the original Venu did not have that?
Don't know how to insert an image here. Uploaded it to imgur.
20:44 is time from the watchface, rest is burn in. You can see aod is moving, but not enough. Seems it uses only 2 positions. Might be a problem of the third party watchface.
