Body battery not syncing with multiple watches

My wife and I bought multiple Garmin watches including lily, vivomove and Venus for different occasions but body battery doesn't sync. I love body battery but it's really frustrating that it doesn't sync. Is this feature planned for physio true up?

  • Hey Amber, any luck doing this? I have a Fenix solar sapphire that I love but wanted the Venu 2 plus, I’m about to return it because body battery doesn’t carry over. I use the Fenix for activities and sleep and Venu for regular day/office things. But after sleeping with the Fenix the body battery does not transfer to the Venu. Can you see that it gets look into please?

  • I have not heard about this being added to the Physio TrueUp. However, it is a great suggestion! Be sure to submit it here

  • Hello. More than a year ago I posted an example of this silliness where BB value doesnt transfer correctly when you switch watches. In my case btw fenix7S and vivomove 5 which both have true up and BB. Garmins reply was that it would be fixed by dec 2022. But nothing happend even with latest software updates. Now its sept 2023. Would be nice to know If it is a seroiusly difficult problem to solve or just isnt on the menu contrary to what I was told. The earlier posts have been deleted, not by me. Best, Morten

  • FWIW, I've long ago given up on the body battery - great concept, pathetic implementation. Whether I have a single useless metric on one device or a single useless metric shared across multiple devices remains something I doubt Garmin is heavily invested in addressing.

The Garmin devices do certain things well. Body Battery is simply not one of them. Like O2, they should remove features that are somewhere between silly and misleading. My $0.02.

  • FWIW I actually love the body battery stat.  I find it to be very accurate and reflective of how I feel.   I do not want it to be removed, but I would like it to sync between watches.

  • I agree. Very useful, I use it every day. Really need tru up because I would like to switch watches.

  • I'm glad to hear it's found to be useful by some of us.

For my part, at first I thought it was intriguingly meaningful. Then I did a little experiment: rather than look, I tried to guess whether it was high or low based on how I felt, how much sleep I'd gotten, etc. Turns out it was abysmal. Essentially for me it was a placebo effect.

If it said I was well charged, that's how I'd feel. And if it said it was low, I'd feel less energetic.

OTOH, when I first did a self-assessment, I came up with vastly different results. That's when I decided - at least for me - it's a pointless metric that is about as accurate as my "sleep" tracking feature ... or the steps feature ... or the O2 feature.

Garmin makes a great workout watch for pulse rate, plus a nice watch/weather/gps feature. Otherwise, I keep my expectations in check and don't try to get anything else from it.

  • Complete opposite for me. It knows if I had a long night out, if I'm getting sick, if I got good rest etc... It uses your stress levels which uses heart rate variability and then adds in other factors. I think it's very accurate.
