Venu uneven battery drain

I have the impression that the battery life of my Venu is going worse. I cannot prove it with exact measurement yet, but I have observed a strange thing. The battery drain of the watch is uneven. It drains much faster when drops below 50% and gets normal below 20% again. See picture below. This extra drain means one day less in battery life in standard smartwatch mode.

The yellow marked drain rate is the normal. The blue is also normal when GPS is active. However the red period shows almost twice as fast battery drain despite nothing extraordinary happens with the watch. This battery drain profile can be observed every time and does not caused by difference in usage.

I wonder if this indicates battery fault or a common behaviour of Venu battery.

    How to get this graph of battery life? I have similar issue with my Venu. In two days battery went from 100% to 78% and I did use GPS for about 40 minutes. I think it is very good/normal. But today in 12 hours!!! battery drained from 78% to 38% and I didn't use GPS at all. The watch face was the same and I used watch normal as every day. A few days ago I noticed very significant drop in battery percentage overnight(around 35%) and Night mode was on. I can't find any reasons for rapid drops.

    I have installed all latest updates of system and sensors. I didn't change any settings on the watch or app for at least 3 weeks.

    Hi, mine too. I used to charge Venu after 4-5 days normal use, but for this last 2 weeks I have to charge it every 2 days with the similar use. This is frustrating, while I don't know what is happening.

    The battery drains slower over night for me because I use the always on display and it goes off during my sleep hours.

    I've noticed similar things, but for me it's even worse, last two weeks the battery behaves almost as usually till it hits around ~50 percent, and then there is a steep drop. For example, this week: I charged it fully on Tuesday, around ~10 AM. On Thursday evening before sleep at around 11:00 PM it was still at almost 50 percent and I went to bed in peace, without worrying that it could die and I will miss my alarm. Rrrriiight, seems that it died at ~3 AM because of depleting completely. Looks like nonsense! From 50 to 0 in less than 4 hours... At night!

    Now I have the same experience. My Venu used to work for 4-5 days without charging. Now it hardly reach 3 days with exactly the same usage conditions. Could be that new 5.60 sw causes this degradation?

    I have similar but it now lasts less than a day. It’s been getting worse but has got much worse suddenly. It used to last several days but is now nearly 3 years old. 2 year warranty from JL!
