Music cutout every time I go outdoor

Hi,

I have the Garmin Venu and I have music cutouts every time I go outdoor.

My watch is up to date and I tried switching earphones and putting the watch on my other wrist but it didn't help.

I have the cutouts only outdoors, indoors the BT works great.

any solutions?

Hello! A couple things, first, are the headphones connected to your phone or any other device? If so, they will not be able to keep a connection with your watch. Please make sure to go into your bluetooth settings and "Forget Device".  Also, please make sure that the bluetooth headphones themselves are also up to date. If you have done all of this and are still experiencing issues, please let me know.

  • I had the same thing. My headset can connect to both my cellphone and my watch. When I left the house, the headset's connection to the phone was broken, and the music stopped, even if I played the music from my watch.
I ended up detaching the Bluetooth connection from the phone and just keep it for the watch.
However - when I had it, I just turned off the head-set, and back on after I was out of range of the phone. After that I could start the music again.

  • hi,

Thank you for the reply. I did what you suggested to me to do and i'm still having ths same problem.

Okay, when it cuts out, are you able to start it again fine without any cutouts or does it continue to cut out the whole time outside? Which activity profile do you use while using the headphones and what headphones do you use?

  • When I go outside it starts to cutout a little bit. I can still hear the music playing but it doesn't seem to stabilize. Then when I try to start a workout (anyone of them) it gets worst (already when the watch is looking for a GPS signal). I tried to use a couple of headphones and not a specific one. but for the example I tried a JVC HA-S30BT.

Now I bought pair of 1More colorbuds and crossing my fingers it will be solved somehow.

Okay, if that shows no difference, there is now a new update to software version 5.60 for the Venu that is being rolled out (Currently at 50% of our users). Please make sure to update to this when it is available as it should fix the issue with the headphones disconnecting when starting an activity.
