How can I adjust the hartratezones in the cycling widget to match those set in the Connect app and Venu watch?

  • I recently bought a Venu. I have set my personal hartratezones. These are shown in the Connect app correctly. When I use the widget cycling other hartratezones are shown, with different ranges. How can I adjust these widgethartratezones to match my personal setting?
  • The VA/Venu line has three HR Zone setting. See page 6 (About Heart Rate Zones) of the manual to know how to set the HR Zone for default,  cycling and running.

    Thanks for your reply.

What i mean is the you can set the heartratezones. But if you use the cycling widget, this widget is showing incorret information. This might have something to do with the additional grey zone in the widget whoch is not in the Connect app. In the Connect app it shows 90-100%, 80-90%, 70-80%, 60-70% and 50-60% of the maximum heartrate, The watch shows one additional zone. If I reacht the highest zone on the app (red), I am still in the orange zone on the cycling widget. The watch is no help in that case.

  • And you confirm that you've set the heart rate zone for the cycling profile in Connect App? Like I mentioned, there are three different hear rate zone profiles on the Venu (or VivoActive 3 and 4) and one of them is specifically for cycling activities.

  • On Connect Mobile select the Venu, then near the bottom User Settings, then at the bottom Heart Rate Settings and click on that one.

That will show the Default heart rate zones under the Heart symbol.
If you click on the Runner or Cyclist at the top it will show the heart rate zones for those activities. Or you can turn them off and they will use the default settings.

Heartrate zone are set corretly in the Connect app and in my case are similar for default, running and cycling. The same heart rate zones show on the watch. My heartrate during walking was 118. On the watch the indicator is exactly between the blue and green zone, in the app the indicator is in the orange zone, lower half.

Please explain what I am doing wrong.

By the way, FIETSEN is Dutch for cycling :)

Yes, I Confirm. the heart rate zones are set for default, cycling, running similar on both the watch and in the app. I have added some pictures in my reply to billhart46 who is also trying to help me, please refer to those.

  • Oh, i see what you mean. Pictures are worth a thousand words :-)

The heart rate shown in the main connect app is NOT using the heart rate zones. Not sure what scale they're using there, but it's definitely not the zones. While in an activity, the gauge on the watch IS using the zones. The grey bar refers to Zone 1, blue is Zone 2, etc.

If you look at your pictures, your heart rate is at 118, which is the first value for zone 3 (green) and that's what you've set the zone at, so it's all good.
