Poor product

I got a new Venu for Christmas and already (four days later) the HR sensor is not working. There are no optical sensor lights flashing even when I start an activity. Very poor, I expected more from Garmin and more from the price point. Will be returning this very expensive but substandard product.

Have you tried a simple reboot? When you first got the device there was likely a firmware update and odd things can happen.

Hold the upper button for about 20 seconds and the watch will turn itself off. Then turn it back on.

Ye, tried that, all updates installed but still no working optical sensors. Extremely poor reliability from an expensive product.

Try to remove it from Garmin Connect and add it again.

You won't see the leds flash unless you are wearing the watch and peek under it. The OHR turns off if the watch isn't being worn to save battery.

I have you verified that the OHR is enabled. It is under Setting, Wrist Heart Rate.

Hello! I apologize about your first experience with Garmin. Have you already returned this product? If not, I can walk through a few settings with you to be sure it is set up.

Haven’t returned it but tried all I can to get HR tracking. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I also had the venu for Christmas. Completely overpriced. I am returning it. The sleep function doesn't work the GPS is hit and miss. Hoping I can get a refund

Can you plug the device into the computer and sync with Garmin Express, after it syncs can you unplug it and reset the device to defaults by going into the settings of the watch. Once it has been paired again can you wear the watch for an hour and then take a screen shot of the data and send it to me?
